"I'm going to have to strongly disagree with both Angela and Lynn. I am not just a lover of Pad Thai, I am Thai born and raised. And having lived on Thai food most of my life, I do know what is good. Amy's is very good and if I ask for my meal to be prepared Thai style, it truly reminds me of back home. I don't know what part of Thailand Lynn ever visited, but where I'm from green beans are indeed an integral part of Pad Thai. I have had Amy's buffet and fully half the offerings are vegetarian. I would give Amy's a strong 8 or 9 in a rating of 10. As for service, I have never had problems, always friendly, and attentive." - Thanarat
"I agree with Lynn. Amy's Thai is not good. I have been to 4 other Thai places throughout the Harrisburg Area and this is the bottom of the list so far. The food was over priced, there was not much flavor, the service was horrible and the buffet lacked variety for those who are not vegetarian. I will never go back to Amy's again." - Angela
"Because of the rave reviews of this restaurant and a lover of Thai food, I drove to the restaurant on Friday, believing that its hours were from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. We got there at 4:00 pm and the place was closed. Giving it another chance, we called on Saturday and its lunch hour was till 2:30 pm. The first clue we noticed that at 12:30, there were no customers nor was there anyone there to seat us. The manager and/or owner eventually came through the front door. We ordered the sampler appetizer consisting of dry satay, and deep-fried shrimp, egg rolls, and dumplings. Granted, egg rolls are normally deep-fried, however, these were overdone. Our entrees consisted of a chile-based seafood combo and chicked pad-thai. The seafood combo lacked seafood and the calamari rings were rubbery. This is the first pad-thai that I've had with green beans in them. I live in California where there are an abundance of Thai restaurants. For those of you who know the chain Pick-up-Stix, its Pad Thai is better than Amy's. Unless you're desparate for Thai food in Carlisle, I would probably stick with American cuisine." - Lynn Nguyen
"I love the food at this place. It is as good as any of the fine Tia restaurants I used to frequent in NYC. That my friends is a statement in-itself. The prices are reasonable, service cheerful and the food, oh the food... If you are in,or around the area, or even if your 30 miles away like I am, it is worth the trip. I'm usually not into buffets, however the one they offer there is outstanding--period." - Charles G.
"Great price, great location! This Thai food is as good as any that I have had overseas in Singapore or when my family and I lived in Southern California. Clean, friendly, and tasty- it is one of our family favorites. We have had large parties for special occasions and have been impressed by Amy's Thai. We highly recommend it!" - Mike P
