Thai Bistro

We went to thai bistro recently on a snowy friday evening when there was not much crowd. My wife ordered Pineapple Fried Rice in addition to some other dishes on the list. It turns out that the pineapple chunks used in the dish were rotten and tasted bad. We immediately brought it to the attention of the waiter. He was hesitant to begin with and finally said that the kitchen was almost about to be closed to prepare the dish again. We mentioned to him that we did not need the dish and it was an FYI. Anyways, when we were all set to leave, he comes up with the bill to include the charge for the rotten pineapple fried rice. When asked, he mentions that the management will make him pay for discounting it to the customer.

On the other hand, we overheard a similar experience of rotten pineapple from the customer sitting right behind us (coincidence?). Anyways, their waiter who happens to be different from ours seem to have somehow accommodated them. We were not sure how when the kitchen seem to be closed???

Anways, we did not feel like arguing or investigating and simply left the place. As you can see, there was no apology from anyone. There was no manager in sight. Our recommendation would be to watch this place out as the service could be bad and varying. More importantly, the dishes could be outrightly bad. Beware !!!!

This place has the best Thai food in the Ann Arbor area. Angry Tofu, pad see yew, and Chicken Ga Poa Guy are the best. I live in Ann Arbor and drive ~10 miles out to this place because it is that good.

YUMMY! Lai Thai is my favorite Thai restaurant in the area. The yellow curry is to die for.

I've tried many different Thai food restaurants, and Thai Bistro is the best. I've been to Thailand before, and I find Thai Bistro to be the most authentic.

Definitely the best Thai food I've ever had. I've been to a bunch of places in the Ann Arbor area, but I still drive out to Canton for Thai food-- this place really is a hidden gem. The curries are particularly excellent, but there's nothing bad on the menu.

Excellent rice noodle dishes! The very best is Pad See Ew Medium spicy. I have been to dinner with eight people and we all order the same thing!!! So good!!!!
